Overview

Housatonic Community College, also nicknamed as HCC, was founded in October, 1967. It is located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. HCC is a public community college and is one of the community colleges of the Connecticut Community College system. HCC is recognized by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. and covers a wide area of study and provides two-year associate’s degree and certificate programs.

From career counseling to financial aid, students are given an array of services for personal and professional skill enhancement. Student life at HCC is diverse and impressive and the student administration organizes various shows and events. HCC is home to several on-campus student clubs and organizations which includes the African Student Alliance (ASA), the Art Club, the Black Student Union (BSU) and the Game Club.
