Howard College, also known as HC, is located in Big Spring, Texas, United States. It was established in 1945. The first classes were held on September 30, 1946. It moved to its present located on September 12, 1951. The college's main campus spreads across an area of more than 100 acres in Big Spring. HC has other branch campuses located in San Angelo and Lamesa. Howard College offers a wide variety of degrees and certificate programs in diverse areas of study.
There are several student clubs at HC including Phi Theta Kappa, Howard College Respiratory Care Students Association, Association of Information Technology Professionals, American Association for Medical Transcription, Texas Nursing Students Association, and Baptist Student Ministries.
HC participates in a wide variety of sports such as basketball, softball, and baseball. The men’s athletic teams are nicknamed the Hawk and the women’s teams are known as the Lady Hawk.
