Hutchinson Community College was founded in 1928 in Hutchinson, Kansas. It was founded as a junior college that later transformed into a full service college. Today, HCC enrolls more than 5,000 credit and non-credit students every semester. The college covers an area of more than 290 acres. It provides a wide variety of subjects in more than 60 areas. It offers courses like Allied Health, Language and Communication, Consumer Sciences, Public Safety and Computer Technology. HCC also offers distance learning courses and online education programs.
The college has an active student administration that works for the overall development of its students. The campus is home to a wide variety of student clubs and organizations.
