Ilisagvik College

Ilisagvik College, a two-year, post-secondary college offering vocational, technical and academic education, is situated in Barrow, Alaska. The history of the college dates back to 1986 with the establishment of North Slope Higher Education Center. Ilisagvik College offers one-year certificate courses and associate’s degrees in a number of subjects. The college largely supports and strengthens the Inupiat language, culture and traditions.

Ilisagvik College has an active Student Government which represents the student body and tends to the various administrative and social issues of the students. Deserving and eligible students are provided financial aid at Ilisagvik College. Ilisagvik College Scholarships and Arctic Education Foundation scholarships are some of the ways of attaining financial assistance. The college also provides work-study programs, grants and loans.
