Overview

Indiana University Southeast was created in 1941. It was named the Indiana University Jeffersonville Extension Center in 1945 and adopted its current name in 1968. The university moved into its present location, in New Albany, Indiana, in 1973. Today, the campus covers more than 170 acres. IU Southeast offers more than 35 bachelors and 6 masters degrees. The university is made up of the following academic units:

IU Southeast has officially recognized several Greek Letter Organizations, including Phi Beta Sigma, Sigma Theta Tau, Omicron Delta Kappa, Sigma Kappa, Zeta Phi Beta, Psi Chi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Alpha Phi, Gamma Theta Upsilon, Alpha Psi Omega, Sigma Delta Pi and Beta Gamma Sigma.
