Overview

Indiana Wesleyan University, or IWU, was founded in 1920 as Marion College. Classes began during the fall of 1920. The university adopted its current name in 1987. The main campus is spread over 300 acres in Marion, Indiana. The university offers several academic degrees as well as professional educational programs. The academic units of IWU are organized into the following colleges:

  • College of Adult and Professional Studies
  • College of Arts and Sciences
  • College of Graduate Studies

IWU has a wide variety of student clubs and organizations including the John Wesley Honors College Student Association, Community of Accountants, Psychology Club, Phi Alpha Theta, Sigma Delta Pi, Students for Life, La Amistad Hispanica, and many more.

The sports teams of IWU are popularly referred as the Wildcats. The teams participate in the Mid-Central College Conference. The university is a member of the NAIA Division II and NCCAA Division I.
