Overview

Interior Designers Institute at Newport Beach, California was established in 1984. Originally located at Corona del Mar, California, the college relocated to its current location in 1990. Commonly abbreviated as IDI, this institute offers specialized programs related to interior designing. IDI offers the students with programs leading to associate’s, and bachelor’s degrees in areas of study including commercial design, architectural drafting, historical preservation, and residential interior design.

IDI has an active student life, with local chapters of a large number of student organizations. Some of the student organizations include International Interior Design Association, and Network of the Hospitality Industry. They organize a number of events all the year round, which help in building leadership and social skills, as well as providing entertainment for the students.
