Iowa Western Community College was established in 1967. Today, it provides education in vocational and technical fields, and in liberal arts through more than 80 programs. It houses a flight school as well, which prepares students for various professions related to aircrafts. The college provides associate degrees in the following areas:

Aside from associate degrees, the college also offers diploma and certification programs. Iowa Western Community College also offers continuing education programs on a variety of subjects.
