Overview

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, also referred to as JSRCC, was established in 1972. The college was named after Lieutenant Governor J. Sargeant Reynolds. JSRCC is part of the Virginia Community College System. In addition to its Downtown Campus at Seventh and Jackson Streets, the college has two major campuses, Parham Road Campus and Western Campus. JSRCC offers more than 30 occupational/technical programs and approximately 60 certificate programs. The college is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • School of Culinary Arts, Tourism, and Hospitality
  • School of Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies
  • School of Mathematics and Science
  • School of Nursing and Allied Health

JSRCC has a wide variety of student clubs and organizations including Phi Beta Lambda, Culinary Arts Club, Human Services Club, Sustainable Agriculture Club, Early Childhood Education Club, American Sign Language Club, Student Virginia Education Association, Magic and Yu-gioh Club, Oasis Bible Study, Phi Theta Kappa, Anime Club, and many more.
