Overview

Jacksonville University, also referred to as JU, is located in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. The university was established in the year 1934 and was then known as William J. Porter University. It gained university status in the year 1956. The campus spreads over an area of more than 190 acres. Students are offered degree programs areas such as nursing, business administration, and science. JU has the following degree-granting colleges under it:

Jacksonville University is home to various Greek fraternities and sororities including Phi Delta Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Epsilon Phi and Delta Sigma Theta. Students also participate in sports such as football, soccer, and track and field.
