Overview

John A. Gupton College, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is a not-for-profit, private college, that was established in 1946 as the John A Gupton College of Mortuary Science. Founded by John Jr. and his wife Bernadean, the college merged with Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1954. It was officially incorporated by Tennessee in 1964. The highest degree offered by John A. Gupton College is of a less-than-two-year duration. It presently offers two programs: an Associates of Arts Degree in Mortuary Science and a twelve month diploma.

John A. Gupton College offers financial aid to needy and eligible students in the form of student loans, veteran benefits, and grants. Career/ academic counseling services are also offered by the college.
