Overview
John Tyler Community College was established in 1967. It is a 2-year, public, community college that was named in honor of President John Tyler. JTCC is one of the 23 schools under the Virginia Community College System. Apart from its main campus in Chester, Virginia, the college also operates another campus in Midlothian, Virginia.
JTCC offers 2-year associate degrees, certificates and career studies certificate programs in various areas of study. It has the following academic divisions under it:
