Johnson College

Johnson College is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is a private, two-year coeducational college. Orlando S. Johnson, who was a wealthy coal baron, founded it in the year 1912. The institution was formerly known as Johnson Trade School. The school was renamed the Johnson School of Technology in 1966 and was incorporated a year later. The school came to be known as the Johnson Technical Institute in 1985. The institution got its present name in 2001.

Johnson College offers associate’s degrees in diverse areas of study. Some such areas include automotive technology, electronic technology, diesel truck technology, computer information technology and precision machining technology.

The students at Johnson College are involved in several clubs and organizations, including Alpha Beta Kappa, Chi Alpha Epsilon and the Veterinary Technology Club.
