Overview

Johnson County Community College, also referred to as JCCC, is located in Overland Park, Kansas, United States. The Johnson County Commissioners recognized the demand for a community college in Kansas in 1963 and founded JCCC in 1969. It is the largest community college in the state of Kansas.

JCCC offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The college houses an urban campus, which provides excellent facilities to the students. It enrolls more than 30,000 credit and non-credit students. JCCC’s student body also has an impressive number of international students.

JCCC’s sports teams are nicknamed the Cavaliers. They have won more than seven National Championships. Some of the notable alumni of the college are Ashley Aull, Miss Kansas USA (2006); Ed Wildberger, Missouri State Representative; and Sharon Obermueller, Big Brother 9 contestant.
