Overview

Jones County Junior College was established in Ellisville, Mississippi, in 1911. The college was originally an agricultural high school. In 1922, the Mississippi Legislature began including college courses in agricultural high schools.

There are many student organizations and clubs at the college, including band, choir, engineering, forestry and horticulture. The athletic teams of JCJC are known as the Bobcats and participate in baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball.
