Judson University, founded in 1863 and also known as Judson U, is an evangelical Christian liberal arts university located in Elgin, Illinois. The university sits across an area of 90 acres. Judson University was named after Adoniram Judson, the first American Baptist missionary to travel to foreign shores.
Judson U offers undergraduate, adult undergraduate, graduate and online programs in the fields of business, music, communication, arts, and education, among others. In addition, the university imparts accelerated weekend programs in several subjects.
Judson University has an active campus life with a large number of on-campus clubs and organizations. Among them include the Judson Student Organization, Chapel Drama team, Community Orchestra, Symphonic Band and Alpha Lambda Delta Society.

Housing and MealsJudson provides on-campus housing for 520 of its 1,083 (full-time) students (as of 2007). Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 19 meals weekly.
Judson AthleticsJudson is in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference for major sports. Judson offers financial aid for athletes.
