Kalamazoo Valley Community College

Kalamazoo Valley Community College, or KVCC, was founded in 1966. The college enrolled its first student in 1968. KVCC was the first two-year college in Michigan that had a female president. In addition to its downtown Kalamazoo campus, the college has a campus in Texas Township. KVCC also has learning centers including the Advanced Technology Center and Center for New Media.

KVCC offers numerous degrees and certificates programs and is organized into several academic divisions. Some of the academic divisions are automotive technology, computer information systems, medical assistant technology, graphic design, and many more. In addition, the college offers scholarships programs including the Hispanic Scholarships, Gary Sisters Foundation Scholarship, and Talbots Women's Scholarship.

Some of the student organizations of KVCC are Phi Theta Kappa, International Students Club, Association of Information Technology Professionals, Student Nursing Association, KVCC Community Chorus, and Dance Club.
