Kennebec Valley Community College

Kennebec Valley Community College, also referred to as KVCC, is located in Fairfield, Maine, United States. It was founded in 1969. The college opened its doors in the fall of 1970 with 35 students. The college also enrolled 131 part-time students in its first year. It is part of the Maine Community College System. The college campus sits on more than 60 acres in Fairfield. As of fall 2008, KVCC enrolled over 2,000 students. At present, the college offers approximately 25 associate degrees and certificate programs.

KVCC has many student organizations and encourages students to get involved in co-curricular opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Some of the student clubs are the German Club, KVCC Walking Club, Bible Club, Medical Assisting Club, Valley Quilting Club, Respiratory Therapy Club, Phi Theta Kappa, KVCC Lions Club, Physical Therapist Assistant Club, and Knitting and Needle Works Club.
