Overview

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College (LCOOCC),which is located in Hayward, Wisconsin, was founded in 1982 to serve the local Hayward community and Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.

LCOOCC is a technical and community college that offers more than 15 technical diplomas and associate's degree programs. Continuing education for adults and certificate programs are also provided by the college.

The college operates four outreach sites in the neighboring Ojibwe reservations, which are located in Bad River, St. Croix, Lac du Flambeau and Red Cliff. Students organizations at LCOOCC include the Makwa Drama Club, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society and Men's Talking Circle.
