Lake Area Technical Institute

The Lake Area Technical Institute was established in 1965 in Watertown, South Dakota. The campus of the college consists of 10 buildings spread across an area of 30 acres. The students of LATI can choose from more than 22 areas of study. LATI also offers a number of online degrees in subjects like computer information systems, mechanical drafting and medical laboratory technology. The college is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Agriculture Division
  • Business Division
  • Health Division
  • Trade and Technical Division

LATI maintains an active student life and sponsors a number of clubs and organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association, the Post-Secondary Agriculture Student Organization, the Occupational Therapy Assistant Club and the Student Medical Assistants Organization, among others.
