Lakeland Community College

Lakeland Community College, also referred to as Lakeland, was founded in 1967. It was the first college in Ohio founded by the vote of the citizens. In addition to its main campus located in Kirtland, Ohio, Lakeland has off-site locations in Willowick, Madison, and Painesville. At present, the college offers more than 130 degrees and certificate programs. Lakeland is organized into several academic departments including:

  • Division of Science & Health
  • Division of Social Science & Public Service

Lakeland has numerous student organizations including the Campus Crusade for Christ, Full Armor of the Spirit, Lakeland Travel and Tourism Association, Student American Dental Hygienists' Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Students in Free Enterprise, and many more.

The athletic teams of Lakeland are known as the Lakers. The sports teams include basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, softball, and golf.
