Overview

Lamar State College–Orange, also known as LSC-O, is located in Orange, Texas, United States. It opened in the fall of 1969, and the first classes were held in Tilley Elementary School. In 1995, the college became a constituent member of the Texas State University System.

The college presently serves approximately 2,000 students. LSC-O offers two-year academic programs in communication, business, criminal justice, computer science, liberal arts, elementary education, sociology, and natural science. These programs lead to associate of science degrees. More than 25 technical programs are available, which lead to associate of applied science degrees, institutional awards, and certificates of completion.

LSC-O has an active student life and offers numerous student clubs and organizations for the overall development of the students.
