Overview
Lander University is located in Greenwood, South Carolina, United States. It was originally established in 1872 as Williamston Female College. It was founded by Samuel Lander, a Methodist clergyman, and was located in Williamston, South Carolina. The college moved to is current location in 1904 and was renamed Lander College. The first male students were admitted in 1943. It became Lander University in 1992. The university campus spreads across an area of more than 120 acres. It offers courses through the following academic colleges:

There are several Greek Letter organizations at Lander University which are governed by the Inter-Fraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and National Panhellenic Conference. Some of these fraternities and sororities are Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Alpha Tau Omega, Pi Kappa Phi, Zeta Phi Beta, Kappa Sigma, Gamma Phi Beta, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Phi Mu.
