Overview
Lane College is a four-year, liberal arts college located in Jackson, Tennessee. It is among the historically black colleges of America. It was established in the year 1882 and spreads across an area of 25 acres. Lane College offers majors and minors in the fields of business and social & behavioral science, liberal studies and education and natural and physical sciences. In addition, the college offers the ‘Lane Evening Accelerated Program’ also known as the LEAN Program, and several pre-professional programs.
Lane College supports a large number of student clubs and organizations. Among those available on campus include the Social Science Club, Chess Club, and Pre-Law. The college also has an active Greek life. Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Society and Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society are some of the honors societies that students are members of.
