Overview

Las Positas College is a two-year, public college located in Livermore, California. The campus is spread across an area of more than 140 acres. The college was designated as an independent college by the Board of Governors in 1988. Las Positas offers more than 20 occupational associate degrees, over 15 transfer associate degrees and more than 30 certificate programs.

Las Positas enrolls more than 8,000 day and evening students. The college offers a curriculum for students seeking career preparation or a transfer to a four-year college or university. The students-run newspaper of the college is known as the Express. Its official mascot is the Hawks.
