Overview

Lenoir Community College, also known as LCC, is a coeducational, public, community college located in Kinston, North Carolina, United States. It was chartered in 1958 and founded in 1960 under the name of Lenoir County Industrial Education Center (abbreviated as IEC). In November 1964, the center officially received the status of a community college and also received its present name.

The academic divisions of Lenoir Community College include the following:

The men and women sports teams are called the Lancers and Lady Lancers respectively. The official mascot of the College is the Lancer. The Lancers participate in basketball and baseball, and the Lady Lancers participate in volleyball and basketball.
