Lewis University

Lewis University is a private Roman Catholic and Lasallian University situated in Romeoville, Illinois. It was initially established as the Holy Name Technical School by the Chicago Archdiocese and Bishop Bernard Sheil in 1932. Lewis University is named after philanthropist Frank Lewis. It enrolls more than 5,000 students annually and offers around 20 graduate programs, 70 undergraduate majors and accelerated programs for working adults. The university is comprised of the following academic divisions:

  • School for Professional and Continuing Education

Lewis University participates in the NCAA Division II and is a member of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. LU's athletic teams are known as the Flyers.
