Overview

Lindenwood University, also referred to as Lindenwood or LU, is a private, coeducational, liberal arts institution located in St. Charles, Missouri, United States. It was established in 1827.

Lindenwood University has the following schools:

The men's and women's sports teams of LU are called the Lions and Lady Lions respectively. The official mascot is the lions. The University sponsors basketball, football, waterpolo, tennis, lacrosse, golf, volleyball, and wrestling. LU also has a cheerleading squad.

Notable alumni of LU include DeDe Dorsey, Professional American football player with the Cincinnati Bengals; and Shandi Finnessey, Miss USA 2004.
