Overview

Long Island Business Institute, LIBI, was established as a business school in Commack, Long Island in 1968. In 1995, the New York State Board of Regents certified it as an occupational college. LIBI established another campus at Flushing, New York in 2001. This campus was designated as the main campus in 2008.

The Long Island campus or LIBI-Commack grants diplomas in medical insurance and billing and office technology, and an Associate in Occupational Studies degrees in business management, accounting, court reporting and office technology. LIBI houses several students clubs like the Web Design Club, the Multi-Cultural Club, the Court Reporting Alumni Association and the Small Business Club.
