Overview

The Longy School of Music is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Georges Longy, a French born musician, established the schoool in 1915. The school offers certificate and bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in chamber music, Dalcroze eurhythmics, composition, instruments and vocal performance. The college also offers continuing education for professionals and preparatory courses for young and budding artists.

The Longy School of Music’s Student Advisory Council allows students to address their ideas and grievances to the college’s administrators. Students at the college are offered financial aid in the form of institutional scholarship programs such as the Longy scholarships.
