Los Angeles Pierce College

Los Angeles Pierce College, also referred to as Pierce College, is a two-year, community college in the United States. The college was founded on September 15, 1947, with 70 students and 18 faculty members. It was originally known as the Clarence W. Pierce School of Agriculture. The school was renamed to Los Angeles Pierce College in 1956.

Pierce College offers courses on more than 100 subjects in over 90 academic areas of study. The campus is spread across an area of 426 acres. The campus is landscaped with more than 2,200 trees, a variety of roses, and a 1.9 acre botanical garden. The college is home to various clubs and organizations. There is a special International students club to assist foreign students.

Pierce College currently fields more than 10 athletic teams which participate in various sports including baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, and football. The sports teams compete in the Western State Conference. They are nicknamed the Brahmas.
