Louisburg College located in North Carolina bears a legacy of over 220 years and has evolved from three institutions which existed previously. They include Franklin Male Academy, founded in 1787, Louisburg Female Academy, founded in 1814, and Louisburg Female College, founded in 1857. The main campus is spread across an area of 75 acres. Louisburg College's recent enrollments have been more than 700 students. The college offers associate’s in business degree, associate’s of arts degree and associate’s in science degree in a wide range of disciplines.
The college has a number of student organizations such as Christian Life Council, Chorale and Ensemble, Student Ambassadors, Phi Beta Lambda, Student Government Association and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The college also publishes a student run newspaper called Hurricane Headlines.
