Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport, commonly abbreviated as LSUHSC-Shreveport, is an academic center for medical research and medicine located in North Louisiana. The college was founded in 1969 by Dr. Joe E. Holoubek. The College offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in a wide range of medical and health related areas. It also has a campus located in New Orleans.
LSUHSC-Shreveport offers programs in different areas of study such as physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, and clinical laboratory science. The college is organized into the following academic schools:
