Overview
Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, often abbreviated as LPTS, is a four-year, not-for-profit, private school, situated in Louisville, Kentucky. The institute was originally established in 1853, in the city of Danville, Kentucky. A seminary was opened at Louisville in 1893. In 1901, the Louisville seminary merged with the Danville one. The college, which has a campus of 67 acres, offers degree programs which include Doctor of Ministry, Master of Theology, Master of Arts in Spirituality (with the Bellarmine University), Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, Master of Arts (Religion), and Master of Divinity.
The KampusKids program of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary offers special activities for children of various age groups on campus. The institute also has a library with approximately 150,000 volumes.
