Overview
Macalester College is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It was established in 1874. The college's first classes were held on September 15, 1885. Macalester College moved to its current location in 1885 and began admitting women in 1893.
The college campus is beautifully spread across an area of more than 50 acres and comprises of more than five academic buildings, a library, over 10 residences, and a technology center.
The college has over 100 student clubs and organizations including the Council for Religious Understanding (CRU), Caribbean Student Association (CSA), Amnesty International, and Asian Student Alliance (ASA).
The college's international students make up more than 10 percent of the student body and represent 90 different countries. Macalester College's sports teams are nicknamed the Scots.
