Overview

MacMurray College is a co-educational, liberal arts college situated in Jacksonville, Illinois, United States. The campus is spread across an area of 60 acres. It is known to be one of the oldest institutions of higher education initially founded for women in the US. The college was named in the honor of James E. MacMurray, an Illinois state senator and college trustee. MacMurray College offers associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in diverse areas of study.

MacMurray College has an active campus life. The students can participate in the several onsite clubs and Greek organizations. Some of the popular student clubs include Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Phi Omega (Alpha Alpha Eta Chapter), Black Student Union, and Brothers and Sisters in Christ (B.A.S.I.C.).
