Overview

Macon State College was founded in October of 1965 as the Macon Junior College. The first classes of the college were held in 1968. It became Macon College in 1987 and adopted its present name in 1996. The main campus of the college is spread across an area of more than 160 acres in Macon, Georgia. In addition, Macon State College operates a satellite campus in Warner Robins, Georgia. The college is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • School of Nursing & Health Sciences

Macon State College has several active student organizations, such as the Accounting Association, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, English Studies Organization, International Students and Studies Association, Black Student Unification, Macon State College Association of Nursing Students, Macon State Skindivers Club, Voices for Diversity, Natural Sciences Network and the Women Studies Association.
