Overview

Manchester Community College was established in 1963. It is spread over an area of 160 acres and serves about 15,000 students every year. In 1996, the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation declared Manchester Community College an "Honor Institution," and the college remains to be the only community college in America to be honored.

MCC offers Associates of Science and Arts degrees in over 40 disciplines. It has students from over 70 countries. There are over 35 student organizations and clubs at MCC. It is the only community college in Connecticut to offer an intercollegiate athletics program. It has four sports teams, which are known as the Cougars.
