Overview

Manhattan College, also known as MC, is a private, Roman Catholic college of liberal arts situated in Riverdale, New York City, United states. It was established in 1853. MC was originally founded as the Academy of the Holy Infancy. It became Manhattan College in 1863. The college offers several undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of arts, education, business, science, and engineering. Graduate programs in engineering and education are also offered to students.

Manhattan College’s campus is home to various student clubs and organizations such as the Electronics Club, Christ in Your Life, Gaelic Society, African Caribbean American Club, Jasper Dancers, Lively Arts, and Voyagers. The college’s athletic department fields teams in baseball, basketball, softball, tennis, soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball. Their men’s sports teams are known as the Jaspers, and the women’s sports teams are called the Lady Jaspers.
