Overview

The Manhattan School of Music is a music conservatory located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York,. It was founded in 1917. MSM offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in several area of music, including flute, horn, piano and saxophone. The school also offers orchestral program in violin, trumpet, harp and clarinet. The School of Music also offers doctorate degrees in several areas of music.

MSM has an active campus life. There are several student associations and clubs operating on campus. The Manhattan School of Music Council, the Pan-African Student Union and the Resident Community Council are some of the student organizations and governing councils which organize several activities for the students on campus.
