Marquette University is a private, coeducational, Jesuit, Roman Catholic university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1881. MU is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Marquette was ranked 77th among National Universities in U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Colleges 2009”.
Marquette’s campus is spread across an area of over 90 acres. It offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:
