Overview

Mars Hill College, also known as MHC, is a private, co-ed, liberal-arts College. MHC was founded in 1856 by southern Baptists. Originally, MHC was known as French Broad Baptist Academy. In 1859, the college got its present name. MHC offer bachelor's degree in several subjects with majors over 30 subjects that include history, international studies, music and science. MHC also operates programs in Adult Education. There is an impressive enrollment of international students in MHC.

MHU has an active campus life. It operates several student clubs, organizations, and associations for the student's benefit. Wren College Union, the campus activity board, and student's sports club are some of the centers of student activity. Apart from this, there are several wellness centers and counseling centers in the campus. The Cadenza' is a campus magazine and 'The Hilltop' is the campus newspaper published weekly by the students.
