Overview

Martin Community College, MCC, was established as the Martin Technical Institute in September, 1967. It was granted community college status on June 26, 1975, and came to be known as Martin Community College on July 1st, 1976. The main campus is situated in Williamston, North Carolina. The college also operates the Bertie Campus in Windsor, and the Roper Learning Center in Roper, North Carolina.

Martin Community College offers a number of associate's degrees, certificates, and diploma programs of study. Students can choose from courses in biotechnology, computer information technology, cosmetology, medical assisting, and general education, among others. In addition, continuing education courses and distance learning opportunities are available.

Martin Community College hosts the Alpha Beta Gamma's Kappa Eta Chapter. Students are involved in the Student Government Association and also publish a newspaper known as the "Notebook". MCC students are provided financial assistance in the form of Federal grants and loans, work-study programs, MCC Scholarships, North Carolina Student Scholarships, North Carolina Student Incentive Grants, and North Carolina Education Lottery Scholarships.
