Overview

Martin University was officially founded in 1977 by Rev. Fr. Boniface Hardin, but its history dates back to 1969, when the Martin Center was established. It became the Martin Center College in 1977, and was renamed Martin University in 1990. The university moved to its present campus in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1987.

Students of Martin University are offered more than 15 undergraduate degrees. Several master's degree programs are also available. The academic divisions of the university are:

Martin University provides extensive financial assistance to its students. In addition to Federal Pell Grants, FSEOG, Stafford Loans, ad PLUS loans, the university also participates in State financial aid programs like the Indiana Higher Education Grant Program, the Part-time Grant, and the 21st Century Scholars Program.
