Marylhurst University is a private Catholic liberal arts university located in Marylhurst, Oregon, U.S. Marylhurst University was established in the year 1893 and was run for many years by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary; a Roman Catholic teaching order. The campus spreads over an area of 63 acres. The University offers bachelor's and master's degree in several subjects from various fields including arts and science. In addition the Marylhurst University also offers distance learning programs which are available online and several certificate programs. The University has an impressive enrollment of international students as well.

The Marylhurst University has an active campus life. It operates several student clubs and organizations. Ad Sapientiam, Marylhurst Gerontology Association and Marylhurst Music Therapy Student Organization are some of the student associations and clubs of the University. MU Omega and Kappa Gamma Pi are some of the student-run honors societies.
