Overview

Mayland Community College, also known as MCC, is located in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, United States. It was established in the year 1971. In addition to the main campus, it has other campuses called MCC Avery Campus and MCC Yancey Campus. Mayland Community College is a member of the Appalachian Alliance. The college offers a number of degrees in various fields of study including Arts and Science, Business, Engineering and Public Services, Health Sciences, and Public Safety & Occupational Technologies Programs. The college also offers programs in distance education.

Mayland Community College has an active student life. It hosts a number of student clubs and organizations such as the Early Childhood Students' Association, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Student Government Association, The Medical Assisting Association, and Student Government Association, among others.
