Mayo Graduate School

Mayo Graduate School Rochester is one of the three campuses of Mayo Graduate School which is a part of the Mayo Clinic. Founded by Dr. William Mayo and Dr. Charles Mayo, the Mayo Clinic was initially affiliated with the University of Minnesota to offer degree programs and became an independent, degree-granting institution in 1983. Mayo Graduate School became an independent school in 1989. Located in Minnesota, the Rochester campus confers doctoral degrees in biomedical sciences. Apart from this, the school provides a medical scientist training program, a summer undergraduate research fellowship (SURF) program and additional research training programs.

Mayo Graduate School Rochester houses organizations such as the Mayo Graduate Student Association. The school offers attractive stipends to doctorate students and the Rochester campus has a student financial aid office, assisting students to obtain grants, loans and scholarships.
