McHenry County College

McHenry County College was established on April 1, 1967. It was founded as a part of the Illinois Community College System. The college is beautifully nestled on an area of more than 60 acres on the northwestern side of Crystal Lake, Illinois. MCC also operates several satellite locations. The college offers around 6 associates degrees and more than 15 Associate of Applied Science degrees.

MCC offers several scholarships to its deserving students. Some of these include the Ann Dagley Memorial Scholarship, Hispanic Educational Achievement Scholarship and the Eileen Phipps Memorial Scholarship.

There are many on-campus student organizations and clubs at MCC, including the Black Student Union, Nirvana Buddhist Fellowship, College Bowl, Student Ambassadors, Game Developer Club, Phi Theta Kappa and Club Concordia, among others.

MCC participates in a wide variety of sports like basketball, volleyball, baseball, tennis, soccer and softball. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Fighting Scots.
