McLennan Community College is located in Waco, Texas. It was established in 1965 by the citizens of McLennan County. The college is partly funded by the taxpayers of McLennan County, Texas. MCC’s main campus is spread across an area of more than 200 acres. The college enrolls more than 8,000 students annually and employs over 600 people.
MCC sponsors several recognized student organizations and athletic teams. Its official mascot is the Scottish Highlander. Its sports teams are known as the Highlanders. They participate in sports like basketball, baseball, softball and golf.
