McMurry University, also known as the MCM, was founded in 1923. It is a private co-educational university of liberal arts, located in Abilene, Texas. The campus of the university spreads across an area of 40 acres. MCM provides major in more than 40 different streams of studies. The University is organized into the following schools:

McMurry University hosts various active clubs and organizations run by students. Housing and MealsMcMurry provides on-campus housing for 693 of its 1,293 (full-time) students (as of 2007). The school requires freshmen to live on campus. Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 20 meals weekly.
